Edinburgh

I was spending a few days with my wife in Edinburgh, visiting the Castle, some cathedrals, exploring the city, some of its customs and typical dishes. I recognize that the city is beautiful with too many slopes for my leg... but it's O.k.

 Love these breakfast!

We visited the Scotch Whisky Experience, an interesting place to learn many things about the whiskey and also tasting. My choice was a Highland whiskey (Deanston)

There were one of the largest collections of World Whisky.... logical

This is the statue of Greyfriars Bobby, a Skye terrier known for spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner John Gray, a policeman until he died. It's a very emotive story if you love animals and you like dogs.
This is the grave of  Bobby.

I also saw other graves that caught my attention, so unusual compared to other graves in Spain.

Visiting the Castle

The one O'clock gun
Yep! Toys for boys...

This is the typical Scottish soft drink, I liked a lot and in the days that I was, I finished addicted to it!

Prisons were the things that I liked from the Castle...as a visitor, of course.

This skeleton, was on a visit we made in an entertaining thing called "Ghost Tour". They tell stories and try to scare you...

Ghillie Dhu is a good place to have a beer!

This is the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill. A nice place, where you can see a cool view of the city

On the top

The view of Edinburgh from Nelson Monument

St Giles' Cathedral

After a few days in the city, we were a bit tired of slopes and also to hear bagpipes, we missed seeing the sea and the beach and decided to go to Portobello beach. It's a nice beach with some cool bars, it was worth the trip.

Haggis is considered the national dish of Scotland, it containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver and lungs). I loved it, tastes great!!

Finally, I must say that we also visited the city of Glasgow ... but better'll save any comments.

Gracias Sil!

Jajajaja. Recuerdos desde España!!
